Pillbeat — Privacy Policy

Last updated: 3 June 2026

Pillbeat is a medication reminder and tracker. It is designed to be private by default: your information lives on your device, there is no account to create, and we operate no server of our own. We do not collect analytics, we do not track you, and we do not show ads or sell data.

What stays on your device

Everything you enter in Pillbeat is stored locally on your iPhone using Apple's on-device database:

This data never leaves your device unless you turn on iCloud sync (below). You can export a local backup at any time, and that backup stays under your control.

iCloud sync (optional, premium)

If you buy the one-time Pillbeat Pro unlock and turn on iCloud sync, the data listed above syncs across your own Apple devices and is backed up using your own private iCloud account (Apple's CloudKit). This keeps it available everywhere you are signed in to the same Apple ID. We do not run a server, we are not given a copy of this data, and we cannot read it — it is handled entirely by Apple under your account. Apple's handling of iCloud data is described in Apple's Privacy Policy. If you leave sync off, nothing is uploaded.

Purchases

Pillbeat uses RevenueCat to process the one-time purchase and the "Restore Purchases" function. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app-generated identifier and the purchase record so the app knows whether you have unlocked Pro. This information is used only to make the purchase work; it is not linked to your identity and is not used to track you. The payment itself is handled by Apple — we never see your card or payment details.

Tracking and analytics

None. Pillbeat does not include advertising or third-party analytics SDKs, and does not track you across other apps or websites.

Children

Pillbeat is a general-purpose tool and is not directed at children. It does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Refunds and contact

Purchases and refunds are handled by Apple. To request a refund, use reportaproblem.apple.com. For any question about this policy or your data, contact us at [email protected].

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page and post the new version here.
